22 L capacity. Exterior is black Ultra and interior is a really nice looking royal blue.
The special edition MPL 22 besides the ultra fabric has nice metal hardware for the buckles, sternum strap, etc. Feels really nice quality. The standard MPL22 has a front vertical dump pocket, this one has the side zip pocket like on the CPL or CTB. Inside for organization there is slip pocket and a zip pocket. Beware, it is a left zip. I had a hard time acclimating, but still better to me than a top dump, easier to access on the go.
The front top pocket is really spacious and both front pockets have their own volume. It was easy to put things in these pockets even when the main compartment was fully packed out. The bag opens full zip and the front flap pocket has two more pockets - a small top pocket and a large mesh side zip pocket. Inside on the back is a nice smooth slip pocket you could fit a tablet or a book. There is a padded pocket in the back, which is for either a laptop or a water bladder. It’s not as robust a laptop pocket as a typical work bag, but it feels safe and this is a versatile option to take to work and also on adventures. There is a hole to thread through the hose for a water bladder when backpacking, it comes out the top of one of the straps on the back.
The straps are very squishy and comfortable, the back padding is nice and aerated. I am a small person and personally the height of the bag was weird because the part that would be on most people’s necks is at my head and pushes it forward. If I were taller, it would be pretty comfortable with neck support and to have the top as more of a headrest. Dangle stoppers added for the special edition, very organized method. Two side water bottle pockets, very stretch and extremely accommodating for large bottles.
